Mr. Whitelaw Reid to Sir Edward Grey.-(Received December 7.)

American Embassy, London, December 4, 1908.

WITH reference to my note of the 23rd ultimo relating to the Agreement pending between the United States and Japan having to do with the status quo in the Pacific Ocean, I now have the honour to inform you that the notes exchanged with Japan were signed on the 30th ultimo, and have been made public.

The full text of the Agreement in question has been handed to Mr. Bryce by the Secretary of State for transmission to His Majesty's Government.
